2 Day Strength and Nutrition Workshop

This 2 day workshop will be about no nonsense training and nutrition for achieving no nonsense results. If you are a personal trainer who is still clinging onto the belief that functional training and protein shakes is the way to go then I guarantee this workshop will WAKE you up on
to what is truly required to get yourself and your clients into shape.
No trainer in the World has worked with as many experts in the field of Strength & Nutrition as myself I don’t say that to brag, I say that to encourage you to book yourself on this course

Day 1 - We will concentrate on Olympic & Power Lifting you will learn how to apply lifting techniques very easily and then be able to apply this to your clients with confidence and clarity. This will help enhance the effectiveness of your strength & conditioning program significantly
whether it’s a housewife or professional sportsperson that you are training. Not only did I design thousands of strength & conditioning programs in professional sports from premiership soccer, premiership rugby, super league, professional cricket, professional boxing and professional athletes but also for your average joe who wanted to get
into shape.

I studied Olympic lifting under the tutelage of Jim Schmitz, who coached the US Olympic Lifting team at 3 Olympic Games and also my great friend Neil Taylor who competed and medaled at 3 commonwealth games and then applied my knowledge to thousands of training sessions in professional sport. My powerlifting expertise came from the best power lifting coach in the world Louis Simmons owner of the World famous Westside Barbell Club I was the first person from the UK to study with both Jim & Louis.

Day 2 – Learn why the germ is nothing and the terrain is everything. Understand what you’ve been taught so far about nutrition is not effective and that you might get short term results but you will also get long term problems with yourself and your clients. I’ve studied
clinical, medical and sports nutrition, biosignature, metabolic typing and nutritional microscopy. I have worked with many of the worlds leading experts in nutrition and I guarantee you that day 2 will give you information that will change you and your clients health forever if
you apply what you learn. If you want to know how to get people lean, I was employed by 3
different teams in one season from premiership soccer, premiership rugby and super league a total of 160 players. I discovered very quickly what I was taught previously about fat loss simply didn’t work. So learn from myself who was in the trench everyday on how I got players super lean and healthy. I then went on and got professional sports people down to – 3% body fat and very healthy!!!

You will also learn my pre game nutritional/supplemental strategy’s and also pre fight supplemental strategy’s to enhance brain chemistry this can also be used with a variety of sports and also clients who have to concentrate for long periods in their jobs.

You won’t find anther workshop in the world like this with the information that I have gathered over 20 years so make sure you book yourself on early as we have 20 spaces only.

6 DAY TEAM INTERNSHIP WITH PHIL

This internship is designed for the personal trainer who wants to work in team sports or who works with players outside the team environment.  Phil has worked in 3 different team sports Rugby Union, Rugby League & Premiership Soccer at the highest level so you are assured that the information gained is 100% tested in the real world of professional sport. 

Speed training for team sports – this area is so misunderstood and the information gathered on this day will give you an unbelievable advantage over your fellow trainers for example the biggest mistake trainers make is too prescribe speed training to fatigued players and have no understanding on what distance and rest periods are required to get the player faster.

Field conditioning is of paramount importance in getting the team athlete in the condition that is required of today’s modern game, this is where the majority of trainers fall way short of what is required due to their inability to think outside the comfort of the gym environment.  Phil will show you a host of drills which can be applied very easily to many team sports and by the end of day 2 I assure you a whole new world would have been open up to you!

Nutrition & Regeneration are undoubtedly an essential part of any program and undoubtedly the most underestimated of any program Phil will take you through his 10 nutrition & lifestyle habits seminar which he has presented too many different team sports from super league, premiership soccer, premiership rugby, gaelic football & county cricket teams and the seminar had an enormous impact upon the players and coaching staff.  Just to wet your appetite Phil will share with you all his pre – during and post workout formulas to training and games.

Strength training for team sports is a minefield of conflicting information when in reality it should be very simple which is what Phil will make it for you having written over 40,000 strength programs in team sports Phil will share with you how to design the most effective program for the team athlete to get maximum return for your efforts.  If you want to win your players over you must be very competent in this area and have full confidence with your program design.

Power training this is where we will go into Olympic lifting & Plyometrics for team sports Phil will advise when to use them and more importantly how to lift correctly and when to apply plyometric drills into your programs. You will be very competent by the end of day 5 in prescribing lifts and plyometric training to your players.

Program design - putting it altogether on this day we will concentrate our efforts on program design from understanding how to put a pre season schedule together which usually last’s between 4 – 12 weeks depending on what team sport you are with through to designing the in season weekly schedule’s which is of absolute importance if you are to keep your team in a fresh state so that they can perform at the highest level week in week out.

The above is a very brief outlay of what this internship is all about the information gathered here is from being in the trenches week in week out for over a decade accumulating league titles and cup finals taking thousands of weight training sessions, speed sessions, field sessions, warm ups, rehabilitation sessions, nutrition programs and finding out what works and what’s BS!

You will not find an internship like this anywhere in the world so if you really want no nonsense information which will give you the information on what is required to work in team sports this course will undoubtedly give you the tools to achieve your goals.  The internship contains a lot of practical workshops and you will go through a lot of discomfort so come with an attitude to get stuck in and Phil guarantee’s an experience that will be with you for life.

Before I had the good fortune to meet Phil I was attending many workshops and taking many courses to try and improve my knowledge.  
Having spent three days initially with Phil, I quickly realised how much money and time I had wasted chasing these courses. Within one day I had learned so much more off Phil than I had for the past two years attending courses and workshops. 
The money I spent on interning with Phil was worth every penny and then some, my days were filled from nine in a morning till nine or ten on a night (value for money ha). Each day would start with a full on personal training session (sometimes brutal) which is a great way to learn and retain knowledge. Having recovered the learning continued which varied each day and included nutritional seminars,  Live Blood Analysis which is cutting edge, planning programmes, body fat analysis, planning and running strong man events and a whole host of conditioning components. At the end of each day  Phil would hold a Q & A session, which for me was the most beneficial time, Phil does not hold back any information if you ask a question he will answer it with honesty and with all of his knowledge....
