Glenn Ross
UK's Strongest Man
I definitely would not have won UK’s strongest man 2008 without Phil. What he has taught me after 20+ years in this business has totally transformed me. At 37 I even contemplated not entering the competition this year. He then done my bloods (blood microscopy) and told me exactly what I had to do. This blew me away. 6 months later I was wishing I had met this guy years ago! I owe UK’s Strongest Man 2008 to Phil. Thanks mate!

Sammy Graham
World Powerlifting Champion
Injury after injury brought me to Phil. There was always something wrong that prevented me from being my best. I was recommended a Blood consultation (blood microscopy) which was something totally new to me. I went along with no expectations, and left like a kid with a new toy. After seeing the results with my own eyes, and seeing that I was far from the healthy man I thought I was, Phil explained to me where the injury’s were coming from. I then followed a strict protocol set out for me by Phil I went back into training. My strength sky rocketed, my wife commented on how good I looked, and I brought home the World CPC Powerlifting Championship.

Craig White
Wales Rugby Conditioning coach
I had the pleasure of working closely with Phil during the 2006-7 season as Leicester Tigers almost became the first club to win every available trophy, narrowly missing this goal by losing the final game of the season. Phil's contribution that season was invaluable.

Ollie Richardson
Conditioner Leicester Tigers
We have a major focus on nutrition, and we are the only club to provide breakfast and lunch to our players as well as health supplements such as probiotics, paleogreens, fish oil and multivitamins. I have been very lucky to work with Phil Richards, who was our consultant nutritionist. He opened my eyes to how nutrition can either make or break an athlete. The systems he introduced to the club played a major part in us being considered the leanest team in the league. Our players have their skin folds measured every two weeks and are required to complete extra sessions on their day off if they fall out of their predetermined targets.

Clare Woodward
Physiotherapist (Worcester Warriors 2001 – 2006)
Phil is extremely well read and believes passionately in his own personal development within his field of conditioning and nutrition. He has traveled the world to spend time observing top conditioners and coaches to help formulate his own methods.
When it comes to training the injured player Phil is always sympathetic to the training restrictions of the specific injury but is able to formulate ingenious programs to help them return to playing stronger, fitter and more powerful than before, preventing the player becoming so frustrated by the injury. In the 3 seasons that I worked with Phil he completely eliminated hamstring injuries through his unique methods for strengthening the posterior chain. |

At the age of 31 I was contemplating retirement from competitive sport. I then contacted Phil. After 3 months I never felt better in my career. Phil then placed me onto a protocol which i followed. From this, I then smashed my 6 year personal best by 3 seconds in the qualifiers for the Olympics, and am now heading to Beijing to compete for Team GB. Trust me when I say this! If you want results, Phil is the only person you need!

John Plumtree
Swansea Rugby Coach 1997-2001
Phil has studied and worked tirelessly to up skill himself and I believe he is now one of the most qualified and complete fitness coaches in the UK.
Phil was an important part of a very successful Swansea rugby squad that dominated Welsh rugby for a 4 year period, his contribution was enormous, heinsured that we could compete physically with any other team in Europe.
Phil was uncompromising when it came to players' attitude towards their training and demanded that the players pushed themselves to new levels of physical development. He was also flexible when it came to adjusting systems that had been put in place, for the betterment of the team.
Players have huge respect for Phil because of his desire and enthusiasm to help them be the best they can be. This ability was so important to the collective team effort in getting the best out of every individual. |
